Jean Rollin: Click DVD Home Video Designs

A friend and kind reader just provided me this handy link containing information on the newer Click DVD Jean Rollin releases. Here are the, rather wild, covers for the collection so far. Comments concerning the quality of these reissues and extras would be greatly appreciated.

These look fantastic!

I am a big fan of Eurohorror and Jean Rollin, and besides the wonderful new covers I do hope that they have good special features and the film quality is great.

I own most of his movies on dvd, mostly released by REDEMPTION, and I assume these here are released by someone else?

I would just get them again for these covers, but furthermore I would love to see a similar re-issue of Jess Franco's movies like this as well, namely Vampyros Lesbos and Female Vampire.

Of course what about Virgin Among the Living Dead, Fiancee of Dracula and Two Orphan Vampires?

I'm so disappointed with the new cover art...so typical of new age horror, so unlike the great Rollin.

Hi Jeremy !

These DVD's have been released in Belgium and in The Netherlands. I suppose they're simply cheaper releases of the Encore prints since "Encore Filmed Entertainment" and "clickdvd.nl" are run by the same guy !
They all have Dutch and English subtitles and the original French audio track. Some also include the English language version, others have a German audio track.
The extras are trailers and a slideshow.
The funny thing is that they used the same artwork as the Danish Another World Entertainment releases :

Those are TERRIFIC DVD covers but man, are there gonna be some disappointed viewers...

I much prefer the new understated covers from Redemption. But those don't get fanboys frothing at the mouth.

I have made the leap of faith and ordered FASCINATION and THE NUDE VAMPIRE from Click as I am less than happy with the U.S. DVD presentation of these titles. I will report back with a full report. I am hoping these are 16 x 9 enhanced but I have my doubts...

I received these editions of THE NUDE VAMPIRE and FASCINATION in the mail today.

THE NUDE VAMPIRE looks as good if not a tad better than the French non-subtitled L.C.J. edition that I have had in my collection for some years. For fear of bragging, I hesitate to mention that this edition was given to my by none other than Mr. Rollin when I met with him and Mr. Wallman in Paris in 2005. A cherished memory.

FASCINATION is quite an improvement over my old original U.S. Image issue. I did not purchase the recent U.S reissue per reviews and the fact that it was not anamorphic. The BIG news here is that this release is anamorphic with an ever so slight pillar box.

This may be the best edition of FASCINATION available.

These are region free PAL releases. They look prett smart on my newish Samsung TV via my wonderfully up-res Oppo Blu Ray player.

This is, in my humble opinion, some news.

Thanks so much for the report Night Person. It really sounds like that version of Fascination is worth tracking down. Thanks again...
