It's Finally Out!

After quite a number of delays it looks like Redemption-Salvation's disc of Jeunes Filles Impudiques is finally out. Diabolik has the Schoolgirl Hitchhikers disc listed as "In Stock" for just 14.99 and the trailer (which features wildly improved picture quality from the grey market releases) Salvation has put together is posted above.
My copy has been pre-ordered from Amazon and I have my fingers crossed that it will be on its way soon.

Yup, I got my copy from Amazon on Tuesday! So psyched to finally add it to my collection.

Also, was excited to see this blog quoted on the DVD case. Congratulations on the recognition!

Thanks Daniel,
Wow, my blog is mentioned on the back??? That's freaking it a quote from my piece on the film?
I'm jealous you already have yours in hand but happy for you. According to Amazon mine probably won't arrive till next week. The anticipation is killing me! Thanks again for letting me know about the first DVD blurb!

Well-worth some personal X-mas shopping! I hope you enjoy the disc and hope you do a write-up on it!

Yup, the quote is 'one of the most purely entertaining films Rollin shot.' As a long time reader of this blog as well as MITG, I was happy to see it.

Hopefully you'll get your copy soon. I'm gonna watch it tonight probably, looking forward to seeing what the picture quality is like since the only version I had before was on the Grindhouse Experience box set.

Now, since clearly someone at Salvation/Redemption is reading this blog let's see if we can a release Phantasmes/Seduction of Amy. :) Maybe not a great film, but you can't have too much of the Castels on DVD!

Dude, your posting is really, really depressing ;( ;( ;( I wondered why Amazon did not e-Mail me and what did I see? The DVD is not available - in Europe.
Argh, this sucks: Delayed for over a year, no info on Redemption's Website and still no Euro-Release.
Guess I will wait for a couple of weeks and if nothing is in sight I will order it via

Ah crap - according to the BBFC (Source: the UK-DVD will be cut about 56 secs.
Never mind, I ordered the US-DVD now :D

Thanks for the news, Jeremy!
A longer, uncensored trailer is available on vimeo :

@Fear Finder: I did not find any 100% exact information but according to some posts the US is unrated and only the UK will be cut.

Hey FearFinder,
I have only had a chance to spot check the disc so far and it is disappointing. It is a great step up though from the Grindhouse Collection though and this will probably be the only time it is released. I am going to be posting on it is a quote from a thread over at AVMANIACS by Marshall Crist on the framing issue:

"the whole thing is mastered for 4x3 TV's. Not a problem with the feature, which appears to open-matte 1.33:1, but some of the extras are letterboxed, so therefore display with black bars on the top, bottom and sides on 16x9 sets."

The disc does appear to be uncut at least and, like I said, it is a step up from all previous versions.

I don't know whether this is true or not - but in some german board someone posted that Encore Films is going to release "Jeunes filles impudiques" and "La comtesse Ixe" on DVD next year. Do you happen to know if this is true?
